چکیده

The goal of this study is to optimize a UAE method for the extraction main bioactive compounds present in ginger rhizome (gingerols and shogaols). Ginger (Zingiber officinale) has considerable content compounds, particular gingerols shogaols, with interesting pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-cancer, antimicrobial properties, among others. isolation these requires an efficient process short times employment specific non-toxic solvents humans. In work, optimization ultrasound-assisted (UAE) pungent rhizome, i.e., been carried out. For purpose, Box–Behnken design (BBD) used experimental through response surface methodology (RSM). percentage ethanol solvent, temperature, amplitude, cycle ultrasounds, well sample-to-solvent ratio, were variables be studied. Thus, solvent was identified most influential factor. Once extracted, identification shogaols performed by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) coupled quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometer (Q-ToF-MS), quantification UHPLC diode array detector (DAD) detector. Finally, optimized required only 10 min time, presenting good repeatability intermediate precision levels (<5%). applied extract from diverse sources, thereby demonstrating its applicability highlighting potential variations compound concentrations across different samples based on factors origin, growing conditions,

Optimization of Extraction Conditions for the 6-Shogaol-rich Extract from Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe)

6-Shogaol, a dehydrated form of 6-gingerol, is a minor component in ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) and has recently been reported to have more potent bioactivity than 6-gingerol. Based on the thermal instability of gingerols (their dehydration to corresponding shogaols at high temperature), we aimed to develop an optimal process to maximize the 6-shogaol content during ginger extraction by...

Optimization and Comparison of Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction of Estragole from Tarragon Leaves with Hydro-Distillation Method

A comparative study of ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) and hydro-distillation was performed for fast extraction of estragole from tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus L.) dried leaves. Several influential parameters of the UAE procedure in the extraction of estragole (type of solvent, extraction cycles, solvent to material ratio, irradiation time and particle size) were investigated an...

Subcritical Water Extraction of Bioactive Compounds from Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe)

Ginger is one of the commonly used spices that has been exhibited to have pharmaceutical activities. These therapeutic properties are mainly attribute to gingerols and shogaols. To extract these bioactive compounds, subcritical water extraction (SWE) was employed as a green method. The influence of adding co-solvents, temperature, retention time and particle size on extraction yield were invest...

Optimization of phenol and flavonoid extraction compound of Adiantum capillus-veneris L. using ultrasound assisted extraction

Background: Antioxidants are molecules which able to control free radicals and prevent the oxidants of other molecules considering undesirable effects of synthetic anti oxidant. In recent years using of natural anti oxidant gets the great importance. The secondary metabolisms of plants are rich sources of phenol and flavonoids considered as the most important natural antioxidant.  Objective: In...
